Long before Kaviyes turned into an enterprise-level organization, it was simply a creative field of the founder’s digital experimentation. It all began with simple VBScript exploration in his early adolescence: trial-and-error-driven development of game prototypes and multimedia projects under the Extiqullar Studios label, which was created in 2017. These early years taught the future founder of Kaviyes a lot: he not only got familiar with the fundamentals of sound design and UI design but also learned the hard way the basics of version control management.

The name Kaviyes was officially coined in 2018, derived from a clever portmanteau of its founder's name. In mid-2020, the idea to create the project as we know it today emerged. With the world entering lockdown, businesses had to rely on remote work and digitization. People needed accessible and reliable code that would allow them to solve everyday tasks. With this goal in mind, Kaviyes Labs was founded – thus, the “Labs” prefix was added to the name. It signified both a more serious approach to the work and the opportunity to share useful automated software tools with the world for free. For the first two years until the end of 2022, the company focused on creating GUI-based versions of utilities. While the early prototypes mostly took the shape of .bat scripts, the tools were actively developed and iterated over time. In 2022, the company rebranded and shifted its efforts on system-level technology development. The work soon led to prototype-level development of artificial intelligence systems, particularly large language models.

Kaviyes has since undergone its most critical changes. In retrospect, its original consumer-oriented experimental tools-focused concept was only one iteration of the company’s evolution. After years of research and development of Large Language Models and systems such as “Harmony” – an early similar concept of the context model protocol – Kaviyes shifted its efforts toward enterprise-level development and innovation. At the same time, Kaviyes Labs actively participates in research, following the original strategy of knowledge exploration.
